Help: My Account

The “My Account” section of boocoo auctions provides an easy interface to let you monitor your bids, watched items, listings, feedback, and account details. This area of the site is separated into different sections, accessible using the menu on the left side of the page. Each section of “My Account” is explained in further detail below.

Summary

The “Summary” area provides a brief description of your current activity. Under the “General” heading basic statistics are shown to inform you of recent account activity. “Action Needed” lists anything that requires your attention. The entries under “Action Needed” are links, which you can click to perform the necessary task or get more information.

Bidding

Under bidding there are four separate menu entries: Watching, Bidding, Won and Not Won

Watching: Watching an auction gives you an easy way to keep an eye on an auction that you’re interested in but not ready to bid on. To watch an item click the “Watch This Item” link that appears in the auction itself. This will add the auction to your watch list, which can be viewed by clicking the “Watching” link in the “My Account” area. When viewing your watch list you can choose to view a watched item, view a seller’s other listings, contact a seller, or remove an item from the watch list.

Bidding: This list shows active auctions which you have participated in by placing a bid. Each auction is listed separately, displaying both the current bid and your maximum bid. For each auction you can view the auction itself, view a seller’s other listings, or contact the seller. If you are not the current high bidder the “Bid Amount” will be displayed in red.

Won: This list shows a list of auctions that you have won by being the highest bidder when the auction ended, or buy using “Buy It Now.” For each item that you have won you can choose to view the invoice (if the seller has created one) or contact the listing owner. You can also choose to “Checkout” and pay for an item if the seller has enabled this feature, and can leave feedback once a transaction is complete.

Not Won: This list shows auctions that you have bid on but not did not win. You can view a listing, view a seller’s other listings, or contact a seller.

Listings

Under “Listings” several options are available to help you manage active and future listings.

Successful: View auctions and fixed price sales that have ended successfully with a buyer. For each listing you can create an invoice (if you have not already done so) to send to the buyer, or leave feedback. If an invoice has already been created the “Create Invoice” button changes to say “View Invoice”, allowing you to view the current invoice. When you do create an invoice be sure to click the “Email” button at the bottom of the invoice to email the invoice to the buyer.

Unsuccessful: Here you can view your listings that ended with no buyer. You can click the “List Similar” button to list a similar item, or the “Relist this Listing” button to relist the same item.

Active: This is a list of your listings that are currently active. You can edit your listings from here, or end a listing early.

Templates: This will allow you to create listing templates that can be used when creating new auctions.  To create a template click the “Create New Template” button. You will be guided through the process of choosing all the necessary options. After a template has been created you can also choose to copy the template, activate the listing or delete the template. Once a template has been activated it can no longer be used, so if you plan to use the template more than once please “Copy” it and then activate the copy.

Scheduled: With boocoo auctions you can schedule listings to start in the future. This section of “My Account” will allow you to view and manage listings that are scheduled to start at a later date. You can copy each listing to a template or edit the listing.

Preferences: This section will allow you to set listing preferences so that you do not have to define those options each time you create a new listing. You can pre-define the item location, your PayPal email address, your preferred payment process (Invoice, Checkout or Immediate Payment) and your tax rate. After defining your preferences click “Save Preferences” to save your defaults.

Shipping: Here you can define default shipping options. Just like when creating a new listing you can choose to use “Flat Rate” or “Calculated” shipping, and define the appropriate options. After defining your default shipping options click “Save Preferences”.

Invoices

These options allow you to manage invoices for items you have purchased or sold.

Purchases: Here you can view and manage invoices for the purchases you have made. Each purchase will be listed separately, and for each you can view the invoice. Options above the invoice list will allow you to choose which invoices to display and icons on the right side of the screen will specify the invoice status (Invoice Sent, Invoice Paid, Item Shipped). Archiving invoices allows you to remove the invoice from the active list. It will still be stored, and can be accessed by choosing to display “Archived” invoices using the options at the top.

Sales: Here you can view invoices for each item that has sold. Each invoice can be viewed, edited, emailed to the buyer, marked as paid or marked as shipped. Options above the invoice list will allow you to choose which invoices to display and icons on the right side of the screen will specify the invoice status (Invoice Sent, Invoice Paid, Item Shipped). Archiving invoices allows you to remove the invoice from the active list. It will still be stored, and can be accessed by choosing “Archived” invoices using the options at the top.

Feedback

Feedback is meant to share with other users details on how your transaction went, whether you were the buyer or seller. Each time you make a sale or make a purchase you can leave feedback.

The feedback section of “My Account” lets you view the feedback that has been left for you, leave feedback for others, and import your feedback rating from other sites.

My Feedback: Here you can view all of the feedback that has been left for you, along with the comments provided by those that you have done business with. You can also import your feedback rating from eBay by entering your eBay user name and password and choosing the site you are importing from, then clicking the “Get Feedback” button. boocoo auctions does not store this user name and password; it is used only to identify your account, so that the correct feedback is imported.

Leave Feedback: This allows you to leave feedback on transactions that you have completed, whether you were the buyer or the seller. To leave feedback choose the auction that you are leaving feedback for, then choose whether the feedback was positive, negative or neutral, enter a comment, and click the “Leave this feedback…” button. Remember, you can only leave feedback for another user for 14 days after the transaction is completed, and during this time you cannot see the feedback that has been left for you.
